Choose Brave

On January 1st 2021, the sun rose on a new selling year, one unlike I’ve ever experienced before. It’s a year where uncertainty and change will drift in and out of our lives, and our survival will be determined by our ability to adapt.

Every one of us have the need to influence. Whether we are selling professionally, leading teams or selling ourselves.

This year more than ever, we will need to exercise our bravery muscle.

Same will no longer beget same (if it ever did) and the rear view mirror should be relegated to our motor vehicles, not our business.

While 2021 might be the year of unchartered, pandemic infested waters, it is also the year of possibility, opportunity and a new lucrative habitat.

In a profession where our welcome is often rejection, we have to believe we have the grit in our bones to not only make this work, but to surprise ourselves with our prowess.

We must choose brave.

What is brave you ask?

Brave is asking the questions others don’t.

Brave is showing up after a dressing down from a customer.

Brave is feeling comfortable saying no.

Brave is choosing your inner scout over your inner soldier.

Brave is choosing your customer, not letting them choose you.

Brave is owning your errors and addressing them with grace.

Brave is not sharing what isn’t yours to share.

Brave is persisting with the marathon not succumbing to the sprint.

Brave is staying in your own lane and leaving the competition to theirs.

Brave is focusing less on you and more on your customer.

Brave is admitting you can always be better.

Brave is asking for help.

Brave is being honourable in defeat.

Brave is lifting your teammates, not pulling them down.

Brave is embracing your imperfections.

Brave is protecting your core values fiercely.

Brave is prioritising you.

Choose brave.

I promise, the results will follow.
